On Demand Program
You may have thought you were doing a fine job managing your annual fund – hosting small phonathons, doing a few events and auctions, sending out one or two direct solicitations. And then the pandemic hit, and everything changed. We can’t have events, we can’t host volunteer callers, our students and parents are worried about being in the classroom or residential halls.
It is now that we must build a foundation for our annual fund that is stronger than ever. We must remind ourselves of the fundamentals that support a robust annual giving program, and work on those building blocks that support our programs and grow over time. Just as our major gift colleagues are focusing on reconnecting with prospects and donors, the annual fund team must spend time reminding our constituents about our mission and how we can best serve our k – through – 12th grade students.
This webinar, presented by Mike Littell, Vice President for Advancement at Saint Xavier High School, will discuss the changes that have happened to independent school fundraising teams over the last year, and examine the ways in which we can use this experience to help us focus and strategies for annual fund growth.
Topics we will cover include:
- The effects of the pandemic on Independent school fundraising
- Reviewing the fundamentals (direct mail, phonathon, online, personal solicitations)
- The real purpose of events
- Fundraising for scholarships
- Using our head of school and volunteers
