We focus a good bit on inviting donors to “leave a legacy.” Or, talking with donors about their giving legacy.
But what about your legacy in this work?
Will you be known as a person who encouraged others on the team? Will you be viewed as the individual who put the mission or the cause first? Will others think of you as someone who did all you could to help others experience the joy of giving?
Legacies are not only about how much money is being left through a planned gift. Legacies are not only about leaving family names on the sides of buildings.
Legacies are being made each day through our approach to this work and in how we treat each other.
Generosity comes in multiple forms.
