
Biography
Mike joined the firm in 2007 as a Senior Associate, and has been in the advancement field since 1982. He has worked in higher education and independent schools. Mike is currently with Saint Xavier High School, a private Catholic school for young men, where he serves as Senior Vice President for Special Initiatives and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Mike is also the school’s chief fundraising officer and has successfully directed four comprehensive campaigns, with the most recent raising $52.1 million. Saint Xavier’s advancement program has earned several honors and awards, including 11 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for Overall Development Performance, most recently in 2018.
Mike is involved with CASE as a frequent speaker, commission volunteer, Chair of the 2018 CASE/NAIS Annual Conference, and most recently, recipient of the 2020 Robert Bell Crow Award. Currently, Mike serves on many community boards and was named one of “20 People to Know in Education” by Business First of Louisville.
In addition to Mike’s role at Saint Xavier, he also serves as a Senior Consultant for Gonser Gerber with a limited number of clients and specializing in independent school advancement and enrollment management and has a wealth of expertise with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.

Personal
Mike is involved with CASE as a frequent speaker, past member of the Commission on Alumni Relations, the faculty member for of the Summer Institute for Independent Schools, Summer Institute for Alumni Relations and annual Workshop for Newcomers in Alumni Relations. Mike has authored chapters in two books published by CASE, one on Video Production and another for newcomers in Alumni Relations. Currently, Mike serves on many community boards, and was named one of “20 People to Know in Education” by Business First.
